Wedding Planner - Taryn
Detail Oriented | Efficient | Fun
Those are just a few of the characteristics I like to use when describing Taryn. Taryn has been with the Memorable Moments team for 8 months now. She started by helping with the decorating side and found her passion within the wedding industry. She has now taken the step to become one of our planners! A little about Taryn: Taryn is originally from Mason City Iowa, coming to the Mankato area for secondary school. She graduated from MSU in Mankato, MN in 2019 with a degree in Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services (RPLS) with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation (TR). Through her schooling she really enjoyed the classes focusing on event planning/execution of events. Working within the wedding industry is something she never thought she would be doing. Taryn started with us part time on weekends and while getting into the planning side was reminded of the college classes she enjoyed and the similarities between the two. She realized she loved doing 'full' events, start to finish. When asked what she liked most with the job, she stated, " I like that it's ever changing. We may be doing the same thing, 'weddings' each weekend, however no 2 weddings are alike." "I love seeing the detail come together and personalization for each couple. Meeting the different couples, their families, creating relationships with other vendors in the industry and being able to be helpful on such an important day in someone's life, is an honor." Wedding Planner - Anna
Personable | Driven | Critical Thinker Those are just a few of the characteristics I like to use when describing Anna. Anna has been with the Memorable Moments team for a little over a year now. She reached out a while back asking if she could learn more about the industry or if I ever needed help. This girl blew me away and I'm proud to have her as a planner on our team! She's been working events now since May of 2023 and we're excited to book up her 2024 calendar. A little about Anna: Anna is originally from Albert Lea Minnesota, coming to the Mankato area for secondary school. She graduated from MSU in Mankato, MN in 2018 with a degree in General Finance. She is a very organized individual. She loved planning her own wedding and wondered if this was something she'd enjoy doing. Anna currently works at Brennan Construction and has been part of the management there for 4 years and counting. She loves what she does for work and this was a perfect way to get the best of both world on the work front. (So you will notice she primarily is our Saturday girl with occasional Friday's pending inquiry. She always saw some version of herself working in an industry similar to this. Weddings are something she has always loved and had a passion for, so she's glad she made it into the wedding industry and can take part in it. When asked what she loved most about this industry, she stated, " I love seeing the love and happiness between the bride and groom on the wedding day. But also, the guests. Weddings are such a special time in people's lives and I love to be apart that, helping in any way I can. I like thinking on my feet, and taking care of any issues that may arise. I want the day to be focused around the love, not the problems that could arise. " One year down and hopefully many more to go with this stellar planner! We are so glad to have Anna apart of the team and can't wait to see all the couples she helps along the way! Working within the wedding industry is something I have wanted to do since my sophomore year of high school. And....here I am now. There is more on the back story in the 'About Us' section if that interests you.
I graduated from MSU (Mankato MN) in 2019 with a degree in Recreation Parks and Leisure Services (RPLS). With a focus in Leisure Planning Management (LPM). Our classes consisted of many things, but my favorites were when we were learning how to plan an event, start to finish. Events, regardless of it being a wedding or not, has so many moving parts. Which is what we specialize in! Our goal is to help ease any stress that inevitably comes along with your events. - Let us do the worrying so you don't have to.
Memorable Moments by KW was started my senior year of college in 2019. For the last 5 years I've been grinding to bring my visions to life. And the 2 year prior to that working within other aspects of the industry to further my knowledge and experience. I am beyond blessed with the clients I've been able to help, vendors I've build relationships with and honestly the name that I've built for myself within this industry. I am very pleased to welcome our 2 other planners to the team and expand the number of couples we're able to help. No matter what planner you have for your day, I can assure you that you will be in good hands. - I am kind of particular...haha, they surpass all expectations I could ever have.
What I love most about the industry and what I do:
I love the impact I am able to make on someone else's day. To allow someone ease on a day that is notoriously known for causing stress/chaos is the best gift you can give them. The feeling I get inside hearing 1 'thank you' from my couple or a family member, is a high that could last a lifetime. Being apart of someone's wedding day is an honor you carry forever.
Industry wise - I love the connections within the industry. The bond you form with other vendors even at the first time meeting them. We all have this mutual understanding and respect that we do all things possible to ensure our couples have a wonderful day. Even if that means taking on a job that isn't 'our job'. <-- Because I don't even know what that phrase means! We are in your corner 100%.
